The Business Planning workshop will introduce you to an invaluable planning tool, and help you to complete the process to fully understand your own business and its direction.
You’ll be taken through the completion of your own Business Model Canvas (BMC). It will give you insights into your customers and market, your value propositions, your channels and, of course, how to make enough money.
By completing a BMC, you’re halfway to a full-length business plan. You’ll leave this workshop with the skeleton of your business fully formed, and a full understanding of what comes next.

Who’s delivering this Business Planning workshop?
Julian Grail MSc BSc GCGI FCMI is an experienced Business Leader and General Manager and has held Senior Management and Leadership responsibility in a world-class organisation. Julian has a keen analytical mind enabling him to effectively understand business problems. His key strengths are excellent managerial judgement, a good understanding of the key areas of business and the interaction between them, and coaching and developing staff at all levels. Julian is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and is in the final stages of a PhD investigating Leadership and Productivity in SMEs.
Where is it held?
This workshop is held in room 8b on the first floor of The Growth Hub in Gloucester; a centre of support and learning for growing businesses, based at Oxstalls Campus at the University of Gloucestershire.
This venue is fully accessible. Light refreshments are provided, and parking is available on-site (for £2.55 for the day by card). Please let us know of any dietary requirements at least 5 days in advance of the workshop by emailing startandgrow@glos.ac.uk.
Staying Covid-19 safe
